Lake Wadi El Weshwash (Lost Land)
An amazing valley near the city of Nuweiba. It is also called the Lost Land .
Wadi el-Weshwash is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Egypt.
Deep in the Sinai Mountains lies a fascinating canyon . After walking through it, you’ll reach a unique freshwater lake, which beckons tourists from all over the world to swim and take beautiful photos. Wadi El Weshwash is famous for its gigantic sand dunes, shaped like white and pink pyramids. These dunes were formed millions of years ago by sand accumulation and wind. They create stunning landscapes that change from light shades of pink to golden at different times of day. Surrounded by desert, the Lost Land offers a unique atmosphere of solitude and tranquility. It’s an ideal destination for nature lovers, photographers, and explorers. You can stroll through the sand dunes, enjoying the views of the endless desert and the amazing color transitions. Besides the dunes, Wadi El Weshwash is known for its “marshes ,” which are wind-sculpted sand ridges adorned with trapezoidal shapes. This is another phenomenal natural phenomenon that leaves a lasting impression on visitors. Please note: This excursion is quite active, with a short trek through the gorge, 3 km each way. This excursion is not always suitable for children (at your discretion). To complete your tour on an unforgettable note, enjoy diving in the Red Sea.
